Frequently Asked Questions

We provide trauma-informed supportive outreach to children experiencing acute stress from disasters, serious medical conditions, or other traumatic events. Through a calm in-person visit and therapeutic coping resources, we help children regain emotional safety, stabilize stress responses, and begin healthy recovery.

We serve children and families affected by residential fires, natural disasters, medical crises, hospitalization, or medically complex conditions, regardless of income, background, insurance status, or beliefs.

A trained responder conducts a gentle, child-led interaction focused on reassurance, emotional expression, and coping skills. The child receives a personalized therapeutic resource kit designed to support emotional regulation and psychological safety during recovery or ongoing care.

Requests may come from fire departments, hospitals, medical providers, social workers, case managers, or partner organizations supporting a child in crisis. Click here to make a referral.
